Preliminary Practice
Handwriting

In this lab we studied our handwriting and the handwriting of another person. We all wrote the sentence, “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” on a piece of paper, traded with someone at our table and attempted to forge it in two different ways: freehand and tracing. We analyzed the differences in the writing and then gave them back to the original writer. We also wrote fake checks, ripped them up and traded them with someone else to see if they could match our checks with our handwriting sample. I matched my check successfully, but the person who had mine couldn’t reassemble the check in time.
